it is so mice to see the end of another year. So excited to see next years line up of subjects. Saw this video, and it made me feel alive.

UDB202 exam

The exams coming up in 7 days. Hopefully I've read enough of Birt and notes to at least pass. It's been a good subject.

UDB202 Business Skills

This unit focuses on career preparation with a business orientation. Current popular business tools are assembled and critiqued. A sequential approach is used starting with characteristics of the Resume, business protocol and ethics, the business plan, assessing business risk and Professional Liability.

It was a hard subject, especially the business plan.

Amazing things

I'm quite the sceptic when it comes to photographs that seem to pass themselves as a genuine article and when i saw this photo from Luke Duggleby of the UK I was really sure it was fake. Surely it can't be the case that so many would be in prayer at one time in one location.

But, I have to leave my cynicism at the door. It's a real photo. It was shown at the TPOTY - 2010  and had done the rounds through forwarded emails.

So acknowledgement for such a fantastic photo. Even now when I look at it I feel it's too perfect in alignment, too equal in distribution.

UDB104 exam

Ha, end of year exam.  15 short answer questions for part A. Part B is an essay on one of the topics from weeks 3 to the last  Lecture, joy.

UDB164 Population and Urban Studies

This unit introduces the students to the demographic, economic, social and physical aspects of our cities to help understand the nature of cities we live in. The topics covered include: demographic and economic changes in cities, theoretical models of cities, issues such as social diversity, gentrification, masterplanned communities, and public spaces in cities.

UDB163 Land Use Planning

The purpose of this unit is to examine the planning and management of public and private land. Unit topics include: different performance and prescriptive zoning methods; an overview of levels of planning agencies responsible for land use planning in Queensland; and the land development process and regulations that govern land use planning.
